A new play by Kat Kats about six people inhabiting and interacting with each other in the same space with the audience. Part verbatim, part observation, part movement, Scotch and Handsoap is a composition of voices, relationships, and interactions that asks the question: we communicate with each other on a daily basis but, are we actually connecting - really?

This work was realised while Kat and I were in New York City in 2018. We got to present a staged reading in front of theatre companies and ensembles we had been working with such as Mabou Mines, Elevator Repair Service, and Sibyl Kempson from the 7 Daughters of Eve.
I acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional owners of the land where I work and live.
I pay my respects to Elders past and present. I celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
